テーマは愛。

なんと陳腐なんだろう。

しかしながら。
フィーの叔父の発する「狂ってるのは、どっちだ？」という言葉は、
「愛」というテーマを陳腐と即座に感じてしまう我々にも向けられているのではないか、と思う。

押し付けがましくなく、それでいてシニカルでもなく、「愛とはなにか」について考えるきっかけを与えてくれる素晴らしい作品です。

なんかこー、ハチマキ達には「宇宙からは国境は見えない」とか大上段に構えた言い方じゃなく、
宇宙での日々を淡々と過ごす中で我々とは違った何かを見つけてもらいたいと思います。

ハチマキ達の時代まであとおよそ70年…。なんとかそれまで生きていたいなぁ。愛し合いながら。

あ、アニメ版もオススメします。

人をテーマにしたSF作品の最新刊。ハチマキは木星へ、仲間は地球で新たな戦い、男爵という新キャラクターの登場・・・。全てがバラバラに進行しているようで、結局はひとつに行き着く。人は何処まで行こうと、何をしようと、どうしても、あることをすることだけはやめられない・・・。人にとって永遠の課題、それを見つけようとする抗う者達・・。人と宇宙、結局は相容れないもの同士なのか、或いは地球と同じように生きていけるのか・・。その答えの一つがここにある。

　この作品が私たちに教えてくれたもの。それは『人は愛によって繋がっている』ということだと思いました。
　「愛し合うことだけがやめられない」

　ハチのこの言葉はぐっと胸に残りました。なぜなら、愛し合うことは人間である以上やめられないことだし、やめてはいけないことだからだと思うんです。他の誰かと、他の何かと関わりあわなくては生きていけないのが人間なのですから。

　フィーは叔父の名をつけた犬と、ユーリはコンパスを遺して逝った妻と、そしてハチは自分に愛を教えてくれたタナベと……関わりあう中でいろんなものを得ていった彼ら。宇宙ゴミを拾うのと同じように『愛』を拾った彼らに、新しい未来を。
