　女子柔道物。あまりと言えばあまりにも大雑把な先輩がもうかなり身長が高かったら「巨娘」な強力さを発揮しつつ、かなりまともな人間が大勢いるお嬢様学校で柔道部に新入生が入る第一巻。
　「神戸在住」でマンションのガンコ老人がふとかいま見せる優しさや友人とのふとした優しさ、白眉である神戸大震災を描いたエッセイ風漫画の新境地を築いたのにそれを全て叩き壊して蹴飛ばして「巨娘」で新境地を見事に見せた作者が、それらとは全く違う(下手すれば作者名を隠していたらバレないかも)真っ当なスポーツ物を描いた作品。
　お嬢様学校に「無限の住人」に出ていてもおかしくない先輩がいて、そこに柔道京都２位の新入生がクラスメートを巻き込む今巻は、経験者同士の乱取り、丁寧に初心者向け受け身、柔道独特の準備運動、と進めておきながらいきなり初心者・経験者・有段者・インターハイ経験者(無限の人)取り混ぜての乱取り開始宣言まで。
　…チャンピオン系列で連載していたら、地球の存亡を賭けて試合しそうなテンションのなか、お嬢様学校らしいというかちょっとステロタイプなこともあり、微妙に世渡りに慣れた計算高い対応ありと妙にリアルな学校生活をやはり描き出している。取りあえず、宇宙から電波時計の信号を受信している人はいません。
　特に盛り上がりとかチャレンジとかがあるわけではないのに、何度も読み返してしまう魅力はどこから来るのか、読み返しながら考えています。
　暇な時に読み始めると何度も読み返してしまう、それが木村紺の最大の持ち味でしょう。それは今作でも同じです。
　さあ、暇でもないのに読み返してしまう魔境に旅立ちましょう。

神戸在住完結から
神戸在住 10 (10) (アフタヌーンKC)
待ちに待った木村紺の新連載である。

しかし、神戸在住、巨娘で確立した
独特のスタイル（コマの間に文字を入れる）を捨て、
絵柄、作風をかえての新作である。
言われなければ木村紺の作品とは気づかないくらい変わっている。

大体からして「からん」というタイトルの意味が分からん。


１巻に関して言うと、中高一貫の女子高に
高校から外部入学した主人公が
同じように外部入学組みの同級生と柔道部に入った。
その柔道部には３年に全国レベルの選手が一人いるだけで後は弱小。
主人公は中学で京都２位と全国をねらえる位置にいる。
同級生はもちろんど素人。
と、いったところである。

他にも色々なキャラクターがチョイ出して
なにやら複線もすでに張られているようなのだが
今の時点では何も分からない。

ただ、ただの「柔道部物語」にはならないであろう事は予想できる。

各キャラが個性的に描かれているのではあるが
まだ、内面を描くところまではいっていないので
この時点で人にお勧めできる段階ではない。

よって星は４つとしておきます。

京都の女子校（それもこてこての京都）の柔道部！
何とも奇妙な設定のコミックなんだけど、これがなかなか味わい深い。
青春期をこの町で過ごした一人として、なんともはや懐かしい京風雅と、少し刺さる京風意地くそ悪さ。
これが女子の！柔道！！と、何ともミスマッチな雰囲気が、実に実に面白い。

とはいえまだ若干戸惑っています。
個性的な登場人物も、まだちょっと性格と顔とが一致しない部分があって若干混乱。
多分、もう少し話が進むとここらきちんと落ち着いてくるんでしょう。
何とも不思議なムード、不思議なテンポの、ちょっと気になるおもしろさです。
