　１５年前、一緒に砂場で遊んだ女の子との約束を果たす為、東京大学を受験し続けている浦島景太郎と彼を取り巻く女性達との関係をコメディタッチで描いた作品の第１巻である。 　ヒロインの成瀬川なるとの最初の出会いを露天風呂に設定する等、ひと昔まえの、いわゆるラブコメを想起させる表現を多用しているにもかかわらず、古臭さを感じさせないのは著者の力量によるものだろう。このような手垢のついた表現の多用は、一歩間違えばそれこそ往年の恋愛物のパロディになってしまい陳腐さだけが強調されてしまうが、各キャラクターに対して紋切り型に陥らぬよう丁寧に性格付けを行うことによってこれを回避している。舞台が女子寮ということもあって、ヒロインの成瀬川なる以外にも４人の準ヒロイン格の女性が入れ代わり立ち代わり登場するが、各々がヒロインの引き立て役には到底納まり切らない程の個性の輝きを有しており、それがこの作品の広がりを堅牢なものにしている。脇をしっかり塊めれば少々の見え透いたお約束も、受け入れざるを得ない素敵な物語のひとこまに生まれ変わるのである。

私は、このラブひなからラブコメが好きになりました。
私は、最初は「魔法先生ネギま！」で赤松先生の存在を知って、
それから友人に勧められてこのラブひなを買ったのですが、これが見事にハマってしまいました。（笑）
キャラ設定に無理が無くて、非常に読みやすい作品だと思うのでまだ読んで無い方は是非読んでみて下さい！！
マジでオススメです！！

　ラブコメと言えばこれ、とコアなファンも多い(？〉『ラブひな』。私は、連載が終わってしばらくしてから『ラブひな』と出会ったので、リアルタイムの面白さはありませんでしたが、それでも1巻を読んで一気に魅了されました。とやかく言うつもりはありません。読んでください。｢ハーレム｣(適当な言い回しかはわかりませんが)という世界観に嫌悪される方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、そうでない方は、浦島景太郎君の成長を最後まで見届けてやってください。
　ところで、『ラブひな』はとてもユニークな漫画です。何回読んでも飽きることがないのです。それは、『ラブひな』にこめられた作者の思いが一通りではないからではないでしょうか。笑いあり、涙ありの全14巻、時間を置いて読み返せば読み返すほど新たな発見があり、新たな笑い、新たな涙と共に、ますます『ラブひな』が好きになっていくでしょう。いろんな意味で、よくできた漫画です。これを読まないなんて、(男なら)絶対損です(断言)。ぜひ「ひなた荘」へ遊びに行ってください。
