　よかったです！
現在連載中の作品にこれほど感動できるなんて、カスタマーレビューよありがとう！歯医者さんでときおり読むだけで満足していた私に、「昭和２０年編」を教えてくれたのは皆さんのレビューです。

　ラストシーンで現代の柳沢教授とともに時の流れを体感し、柳沢青年の去った後の貝塚邸へと思いをはせる時、描かれなかった物語が脳裏に走馬灯のように浮かんできます。さわやかで深い結びです。
　峯太郎とルドルフのエピソードもいい、「人間は一人じゃ遊べないんだよ」って徳子さんのことばが印象に残りました。

　第19巻で特別編が始まった時、いまひとつしっくり来なくて、続きを読まずに放っておいた。先日、久しぶりに柳沢教授に会いたくなって20巻から24巻、つまりこの特別編の最終巻までまとめて読んだ。
　巻を進むに従って、山下和美のイメージが豊かに膨らんで、物語が生気を得ていくのが感じられた。細部に納得しにくい設定や展開もあるけれど、「山下ワールド快調じゃん」といった楽しみ方をしていた。
　ところが最終巻、しかも最後の最後のシーン。詳しくは言いませんが、この時を隔てた出会いの場面で、私は不覚にも喉の奥から熱いかたまりがこみ上げてきて、視界が潤んでしまった。
　うっ、うっ、うっ・・・。美しい美しい、砂糖菓子のような世界。

ルドルフと峯太郎の謎が多かった部分が解き明かされる。
果たして最高傑作の作品は何だったのか、興味深い一冊です。
教育者として柳沢青年の言葉はまったくもって正しいのです。
「人は担う役割は違いこそすれ単なる〔人間〕に過ぎません。
何かいいたいことがあれば、その人が直接いえばいいのです。」
胸がスキッとする台詞です。
