　ホワイトハート新人賞受賞作
　迷ったんですが、星は１つにしました。作者さんがお若いということを考えても、一読者として納得できない部分が多いので、正直な感想を。

　ありとあらゆるところが薄すぎて、これでは小説というより「ちょっと詳しいあらすじ」程度。ヒロインとヒーローが惹かれあっていく描写があまりにもなくて、最後にいきなりラブが成立しちゃってることに違和感を抱かずにはいられません。殺し屋集団のリーダーというかなり重い立場にいるヒロインの葛藤や苦悩もただ単語を並べているだけにしか感じられず。

　王のために働く殺し屋集団の設定に無理があることを見過ごすとしても、登場人物の心の動きが表現されなさすぎで、感情を込めることができません。せっかく敵国の公主と公子というオイシイ設定なのに、二人がどうやってラブになったのかも分からないまま、突然、二人が引き裂かれる場面を見せられても切ない気分にはなれない。

　全体的に作りが甘いなと感じました。詳しい設定や国の状況などがまったく書かれていない。ヒロインが殺しているのは悪い官吏らしいけど、いったいどんな悪いことをした人なのか分からないから、ヒロインがただの人殺しにしか見えません。それなのに最後の方では「私は人を愛してはいけないのか？」と自問したりしていて（笑）、共感できないですね。人の命を奪っているという意識があるなら、「私には人を愛する資格なんてないのでは？」と悩むべきだなぁと個人的に思いました。

　ネタは決して悪くないです。設定は目を惹かれる。だけど、それを描き切れていない。もう少し書き慣れれば今よりずっといいものを書けると思う。
　
　少女向け中華風ファンタジーといったらぱっと思いつく作品がいくつかあります。この作品はそれらの部分部分を切り張りしたように見えてしまいました。オリジナルというには足りないものが多すぎるかと。作者さんがお若いからある程度仕方ないかもしれないですが、お金を払って買っているので……。
　15歳（執筆当時は14歳？）の方が文庫一冊分書きあげたってのはすごいことだと思います。が、一読者としては、若い作者が書いた作品ではなく、面白い作品を読みたいのです。

　過去、良質な作品を世に送り出しているホワイトハートから出版された作品だというのが信じられないくらいです。

編集部の方に向けての苦言になってしまいますが…
この作品に630円の価値があるとは到底思えません。
設定、描写、構成、すべてが中途半端で薄っぺらく感じます。
緩急のない内容で、途中から粗筋を読んでいるような気になりました。
登場人物の心の機微、状況や風景の描写なども拙く、
お粗末もいいところです。
全体的に掘り下げが不十分で、読んでいても全く感情が動きません。

たしかに、14歳でこれを書きあげるのは大したものだと思いますが
目の肥えた読者を楽しませるには、まだまだ研鑽が必要だと思われます。
話題性を先行するあまり、成長途上の若い才能を
安易に世に出してしまうのはいかがなものでしょうか？
世に出す前に「育てる」という選択肢がなかったのかと残念でなりません。

また、様々な商売に言えることだと思いますが、
わざわざお金を出して買ってくれる人の事を考えれば、
半端な製品(作品)を世に出すなどとは、考えも及ばないはずです。
それを平然とやってのけてしまうことに驚きと憤りを感じます。

設定、ストーリー、人物･心情描写全てにおいてまだまだ新人さん。彩雲国物語のオマージュなのかって箇所もちらほらあり、(それにしては不出来なため）読んでいて非常に不愉快だった。本当に残念。
