新シリーズは今までの退魔ものとやや雰囲気が違い、中華風味のファンタジーです。
ゲーム世界に伝説の巫女姫として呼ばれた男子高校生！が現代に帰る術をさがしつつ
冒険するタイプの話です。
どうもその世界のラスボスを倒さないと戻れないようですが、そのラスボスも色々謎が
多く複雑な人物で興味を惹かれます。
現代から異世界へ飛ぶ話は、「言葉」やその世界の習慣の違いなど問題が多いですが、
それを実にうまい手でクリアしているので★を増やしました。
とにかく幼獣や神獣の可愛さにメロメロです。
フツーに面白いのでかえっておどろきました。初めての人でも入りやすいのではないで
しょうか。
私は、「風水」や「蘭の契り」以降の作品について来れなくなった（泣）友人にすすめて
みようと思っています。

昔からこの作家さんの本を読んでいます。
最近の岡野先生の作品には「……」だったのですが、これは普通におもしろかったです。
いつも通り1刊完結形式の全4巻。
続きが気になると思いました。

ゲームの世界へトリップしてしまった主人公とその幼なじみ、2人の少年の物語です。
現実世界へ戻るにはどうしたらいいのか、異世界の人々や文化と触れ合いながら、時に葛藤し、模索していく。実によくある異世界トリップファンタジーです。
とはいえ、かの有名な十二国記のようにシビアな物語ではありません。主人公は男の子でありながら、乙女ゲームのヒロインさながら、悪意を向けられ騙されようと、魔物に襲われ命を狙われようと、必ず誰かの助けが実にタイミングよくあるからです。

またそういう危機に瀕するような描写も控えめで、例えば命をやりとりするような凄惨であるはずの場面でさえ、登場人物たちは非常にあっけらかんとしています。
そのおかげで、物語にのめり込んでハラハラドキドキしたり、余りに過酷な状況にストレスを感じてしまう……なんてことはありません。
そういう長く暗いシーンの連続の後に訪れる、起死回生、派手なクライマックスシーン特有の興奮や爽快感もありません。


これで全4巻?
広げた大風呂敷もあっさり畳まれてしまいそうな予感がします
。
良くも悪くも異世界トリップファンタジー入門書という感じですが、面白くないわけじゃなく、気になる謎も、うまい設定もあります。
ただファンタジーを多く読まれた方には物足りなさを感じてしまうかもしれません。

もう少し全体的に掘り下げた描写が欲しかった。しかし全4巻(笑)
なので、星3つ。
