『人生が変わる「朝5分」速読勉強法』で正道速読法を説いた著者の「朝5分」シリーズの続篇らしい。速読のほうはジャンル3位でよく売れているようだが、こちらの本はいっそうテクニック紹介に力を注いでいる。第1単元から第4単元までは全篇にハウツウがびっしり。80の資格を取ったという著者独自の実践テクニックが満展開しているうえ、ギリシャ時代から引きつぐ古典的記憶術も著者流の味つけで紹介している。文庫本なのだが、記憶術辞典としても利用できそうで、おすすめの一冊である。

最近は何から何まで試験ばやりですが・・・。っていうと、記憶できるやつが勝ちってことにになるんでしょうね。
私も今猛勉強中の者です。この本の記憶法を５つ６つ取り出して、試しています。結果はまだですが、役立ちそうな気はしてます。っていうより、役立ってほしい。合格すればこの値段は安いです。
それと、名前の覚え方、曜日の記憶法が面白かったです。

この本が、５月１４日日曜日の朝日新聞読書欄「話題の本棚・記憶術」で紹介されています。多胡輝さん、大島清さん、米山公啓さんなどは、書名だけなのに、この本は写真入で大きな扱いです。東大生の暗記術も写真入で大きく紹介されています。円周率世界チャンピオンの原口さんは、それらより上のトップの扱いです。
渡辺先生の本は扱われていません。本の選択も批評も主観が入り、人それぞれですが、評者のレベルが問われることも事実です。私の主観では、朝日の批評眼に軍配をあげます。
