少年法の不条理と、被・加害者双方の心理を主題として扱ってはいるが、
本作はルポルタージュでもなければ、何らかの主義主張の啓蒙書でもない。
あくまでエンターテイメント作品である、楽しむ気がないなら読まない方がよい。


文章は素直、構成もテンポ良く、読み通すに苦労はほとんどなかった。
主題はキッチリ整理できており、裏には相当な取材なり下準備なりがあるのだろう。
これだけの工夫や意図を詰め込みながら物語としてまとめきったという点も評価できる。
総じて、作品に自然に身を委ねることができた。
手堅い作品、と言えると思う。


ただ、極論を覚悟であえていうなら、エンタメ要素はない方が個人的には良かった。
楽しむ気があってすら、ボクは目くるめく展開に後ろめたさを感じながら読んだ。

少年犯罪というテーマは重そうで、少し敬遠していたのですが、友人から薦められて読んでみました。面白く読みました。
社会問題を取り上げたミステリ小説は世に沢山出ていますが、安易な結論を出して物語を閉じてしまい、納得のいかないものが多く見られます。しかし、本作品は、最後までバランスを失わず、きれいに走りきっている感じ。
読んでよかったと思える作品でした。薦めてくれた友人に感謝！

2ちゃんで天使のナイフがオススメの本というレスを見て、図書館で借りて読んでみた。
さすがによくできたストーリーで、完成度としては高いと思う。

ただ、読んだ後はかなりへこむ。自分の子供が生まれたばかりだからというのもあるだろうが、読んでいくにつれてだんだん落ち込んでくる。
何にしても「たられば」は無意味なものだが、このストーリーには「たられば」を使いたくなる


悲しいストーリーですので、へこむ覚悟を決めて読んで下さい
