短編5話で構成されているが、どれも陣内という男が登場する。
この陣内とは、なんか、クラスに一人は居たような、口が達者で論理的でなく、声が大きく自己中心的だけど、なんだか許せるやつである。
この陣内の学生時代、家裁調査官時代のめちゃめちゃでなんか暖かいメッセージを本書で味わって欲しい。

『日常の謎』的な作品5本が収められた連作短編集です．

中心となる人物の言動や性格，やや気取った雰囲気など，
登場人物や世界観がほかのそれらより丁寧に描かれていて，
ただの『日常の謎』でおわっていないのが楽しいところです．

また，連作なのですが順に繋がっているのではなく，
それぞれの作品の時間が前後しているのが特徴的です．
とはいうものの，繋がりをややこしく感じることはなく，
読んでいるうちに自然と気づき「ニヤリ」とさせられます．

ほかにも，全編をとおして絡んでくる父と子の関係や，
盲目の成年をめぐる少しチクリとさせられるやり取りと，
楽しいだけではない物語としての読みごたえもじゅうぶん．

短編ということもあって読みやすく，おすすめの1冊です．

登場人物の二十歳前から30歳過ぎまでを時代を入れ替え差し替えしながら軽妙に進めていく。
陣内という摩訶不思議な身勝手さと魅力を持つ男を軸に物語りは展開していく。
この陣内の父親への憎しみ不和というものをどうやって振り切っかという底辺の流れを様々な出来事を交えて時に楽しく時に切なく伝えてくれる。

「ガキは単独ではグレナイ、群れてないと悪いことが出来ない」という真実をアッサリ言ってくれていて嬉しくなった。
伊坂氏は自分の社会への考察を不思議な世界の中で登場人物にシレッと語らせるのが本当に上手い。
だから油断していると見逃してしまうし、が故に押し付けがましくない。

ただ単にひとつの物語の時間軸を入れ替えるだけで何でこんなに面白いんだろうな。
「そういうことだったんだ」っていう小さな発見をさせてくれるからかな・・・
