5.0 out of 5 stars 読んだ後にやる気を充電できる、そんな本です。, 2005/4/20
大学の生協で何気なく購入しました。ただ「きのう、火星に行った」という変わったタイトルに心が引かれたのでした。しかし、そのときの直感は間違いなかったなと今は思っています。
クラスでいつも冷めていた主人公が選抜の体育会を、病気がちな弟との交流を通して、誰よりも熱い男になっていく、そんな話です。

最近、何事にも熱中できない方、ボーっとただなんとなく一日を過ごしてしまっている方にお勧めです。

主人公は、小学生とは思えないほどクールな（冷めてる）拓馬。
本気なんて出さなくても何でも出来てしまう天才肌だが、
その代わり夢中になれるものも何ひとつない。
そんな拓馬が、一つ年下の病弱な弟の出現によって少しずつ変わっていく･･･

何事にも冷めた視線を投げかける拓馬は一見ナマイキですが、
読み進めていくうちに自分を見ているような不思議な感覚に陥りました。
「無意識のうちに自分を甘やかし、妥協という道を選んでしまう」
この作品はそんな私たちの図星を容赦なく突いてきます。
やさしい温かみと、微かな情熱の種を心に残しながら･･･

最近熱くなってないなぁ･･･という方におすすめです。

何がいいかって人を殺さないのがいい。
いや真面目に。

作中で人を殺すことで感動を取る作品を見るたびにため息が出る。
もちろんそれが必然ならば仕方がないのだけれど。

この作品はそれどころか特にドラマティックなシチュエーションもない。
（まあ弟に関して若干普通ではない部分はあるけれど）

そして安易な時間の経過もない。

にもかかわらず
充分にさわやかな感動を得られる。

そもそも少年期ってそうなんだよね。
劇的な成長をするのに特にドラマティックなイベントや
時の経過を必要としないのが少年期。

作者はよくわかってる。

文体も読みやすいし
申し分なし。

欲を言えば
主人公がもう少しスーパーマンじゃなかったらよかった。
