作者の伊藤まさ子さんが、どういうお仕事の方なのか全く知りませんでした。料理などの暮らしまわりのスタイリストさんが本業なのですね。料理研究家の仕事を裏で支えるお仕事、今はこういう方まで料理本を出されるのだなぁと興味本位で手にとったのですが、巻頭にあった写真(料理レシピが書かれた彼女のお母様の古ぼけて黄ばんだ大学ノート)に妙な胸騒ぎを覚えて購入してしまいました。

そのノートには伊藤さんが小さい頃から馴染んだ伊藤家の料理の数々が記されていて、今の伊藤さんの料理の原点がこの中にあるそうです。本書で紹介されているのはお母様直伝の料理の数々、そして時折「うさぎの器」やら「お気に入りの黄色い鍋」などの雑貨の紹介もあります。それぞれに添えられているエッセイも心暖まるものばかりで、伊藤家のほのぼのした団欒が目に浮かぶような気がしました。
この本の通りに作ってみた料理はやや味の濃いものが多く、特に厚焼き卵の砂糖の量の多さには驚かされました。伊藤家の食卓はかなりカロリーオーバーかな。だからと言って採点を辛くしようとは思いません。本書は料理本のようで料理本ではないと思うのです。
自分のお母さんの料理を思い出してみて・・・そんな素敵なメッセージが伝わってくるような気がするのです。そして自分にとっての一番の料理の先生は我が母だなとしみじみと感じさせてくれます。そんな自分自身の原点を思い起こさせてくれる素敵な本です。

まさこさんファンにはうれしい内容です。彼女のセンスのベースとなるシンプルさや暖かさは彼女のお母様の独特で素敵な生活センスがもとになっているんだなって思いました。お料理の数々からはじまるストーリーを読むのがとても楽しく味わい深かったです。今時のカタログみたいな本ではなく、芯を感じさせる内容でした。やっぱりセンスと言うものは、日々自分の頭と手を使って磨いていくものなんですね！まさこさんのセンスを素敵だなって思っていたんですが、やはり代々で育まれていくものなんですね！胡春ちゃんの将来もたのしみですね！！

伊藤まさこさんの本が好きで、購入しました。大切にしたい味や調理のコツなど、おいしいものは次の世代に残してあげたいですよね。伊藤さんの実家の楽しい食卓風景が浮かんでくるようでした。
ちなみに私はこの本に掲載されているチャーシューをつくってみましたよ。
　とっても好評でした。
