知識だけあって感情がない「脳男」という設定はすばらしい。
男の異常性が次第に明らかになり、その生い立ちの秘密が暴かれていくところまでは、先が気になってどんどんページをめくった。

しかし、後半の爆弾男との対決が決定的に中途半端。

脳男の特異性だけは印象に残るものの、爆弾犯の動機も、脳男が爆弾犯を追った理由も分からず、読んでいて非常にフラストレーションがたまる。

結局、脳男という正義の味方が、疾風のように現れて去っていくというだけの話になってしまっており、それはそれでシュールなのだが、もう少し深みを出してほしかった。

実際にこの主人公のような人物が存在し得るかどうかは別として、人間の「意識」といったものに着目した、着眼点自体は非常に面白いと思います。

ただし、この主人公がこの物語のなかでとっている各種行動については、あまり必然性が感じられず、この物語の流れ自体が多少突飛なものに感じられてしまいます。こういった人物をモチーフにして物語を作成するのであればもう少し違ったストーリー展開が考えられたのでは無いでしょうか。

いずれにせよ、題材を活かしきれていない感が強く残りました。

感情がないってどういうことなのか。考えさせられました。
茶屋警部と脳男である鈴木一郎のキャラクターが魅力的。
とくに脳男、感情がないはずなのに肩入れしたくなってしまいます。

個人的にはそんなに読みづらくは感じませんでした。
クライマックスとかは結構手に汗にぎる感じでした。

ただ、女医さんと脳という共通点からか逢坂剛のさまよえる脳髄を思い出しました。
