とにかく面白いです。
私は柴田よしきの本は、最初に読んだリコシリーズ１作目が重くて挫折してしまったので、これもダメかなーと期待せずに読み始めました。で、その晩のうちに読んでしまった。

とにかく出てくる登場人物がみんな魅力的。いい人も悪いヤツもみんな味があって、愛すべき存在になっています。スピーディーな展開なので、分厚い本もあっという間に読めます。かなりハードな内容ですが、ユーモアたっぷりで最後にホロリと...。

この後、リコシリーズももう一度読んでみましたが、最初に読んだときは挫折してしまったのに、なぜか今回は一気に読めました。両方のシリーズの舞台と登場人物が微妙に重なっているところが余計興味を持たせたからでしょうか。花ちゃんシリーズ２作＆リコシリーズ３作、どれもオススメです。

主人公は、元マル暴の刑事で、今は新宿二丁目で無認可保育園を経営しながら経営難の保育園のために探偵もやっている花咲慎一郎。
一見無理がある設定を作者は見事に物にし、ヤクザと渡りながら子供達のはしかの予防接種にも悩むというハードボイルドにしてしまった。
子供達のかかえる事情に、「自分には何もできない。もう疲れた。放り出したい」と思いつつ“フォー・ディア・ライフ（一所懸命）”してしまうハナちゃん。そして、ハナちゃんの周りのわけありな人たちも皆魅力的です。

バラバラに思えたそれぞれの事件が最後に向けて一つに繋がる終盤は、絶対に読むのを止められませんよ。

5.0 out of 5 stars ハナちゃんがいくー奈美先生の主人公の作品も是非！, 2008/8/11
柴田作品では「聖なる黒夜」が一番好きですが、この花咲シリーズ（現在シリーズ3冊目まで読了）は安心して、かつ楽しく読めるという点では柴田作品ピカイチです。「聖なる黒夜」では心がキリキリと痛む山内錬が、この作品では少々楽しく登場している点も良いです。彼も「聖なる黒夜」や「ＲＩＫＯシリーズ」のキャラばかりでは、確かに余命いくばくもないかと思いますので、たまにはくのくらいで良いですね＾＾錬くんは麻生さんより花咲さんの方が幸せなのでは？とついついＢＬに興味のない私でも思ってしまいます・・・（笑）

柴田先生はとても几帳面な完璧主義な方なのでしょうね。読者につっこまれそうな所は言い訳も説明もきちんと書いていらっしゃる。そのため少々冗長な点はありますが、文句なしに楽しめる作品です！

花咲シリーズ第一弾の当作品では、奈美先生のカッコよさがたまりません。ハードさといい、淫乱ぶりといい、ＲＩＫＯといい勝負だと思うのですが、ＲＩＫＯの痛さがない分痛快で、また彼女の悲哀はＲＩＫＯのそれとも違うと感じますので、是非是非、彼女主役の作品を書いて下さいませ、柴田先生！！！
