　リース会社を舞台とした架空取引による詐欺事件。民事訴訟として法廷に持ち込まれ、事件の行方が気になる展開。更に巨額の不良債権を抱える会社の行方も気懸かり。１２億円の売掛金を果たして回収できるのか、事件の黒幕は誰か、主人公に塗炭の苦しみを味合わせた８年前の詐欺事件と係わりはあるのか、会社の将来は合併か清算か、親会社の銀行の意向は？とかなりミステリアスに読ませる。
　人物描写もそこそこ描かれていて、取引の内容も平易に巧く解説されている。法廷での遣り取りも特別な知識を必要としない描写で分かり易い。それでいて緊張感がある。相手方の証人を反対尋問でガラリ心象を変えてみせる手際は鮮やか。
　「商社審査部２５時」が難しい用語の理解ができずに苦しんだのと比べると、格段に良くなっている。学生さんには社会勉強としても楽しめるのではないか。凡そ１０年前に発表された作品にしては古さが感じられない。最後の結末、エピローグもきれいにまとまっている。お勧め。

売上至上主義が命題だった、バブル全盛にはよくあったのではないか？と思う架空取引事件で陥れらた主人公。数年を経て臥薪嘗胆と本懐を遂げるのだが、人間味を残した復讐劇の結末。スーパービジネスマンでない主人公の人間性に共感。
大変リアリティな描写。特に裁判の模様は映画でも見ているようにハラハラ、そして爽快。一気に読みました。

架空取引・・と言う題名に「架空取引って言葉、時々聞くけど、実際どんなことがおきるのかな？」という、ごく基本的な興味で手に取りましたが、面白く読めました。
作者が意図したかどうかはわかりませんが、映画化しやすい展開です。
たぶん、主役はアノ人だろうなァ・・などと思いながら。

しかし「地位」に執着する人が、なんて多いことでしょう。

現実世界もそうなのでしょうが、年齢を重ねてその執着は、ほとんど自分自身をも食いつぶす執念のようです。
それがなければ、自分が確立できないのかしら。
