地震や海底火山の話題を縦糸に、国家的な陰謀を横糸に、という感じで、ま、おもしろかった。
ただ、ちょっと地震や津波の話しがオオ過ぎ、という感じ。
で、ちょっとこのあたり馴染みのない人(がほとんどと思うが）には、勘弁してという感じがあるかなぁ。
外国の小説の場合、こう言うのがなんちゅうか解説的ではなく、上手くストーリーの流れの中で紹介されるんだけど。
興味を持っている私にも、ちょっとしんどいと言うか、うるさかった。

ストーリー的には、面白くないわけではなかったが、どうも展開が遅い。余分なことがオオ過ぎる。そ
のわりには、国際的陰謀なるものが、内容的に希薄。
うーん、なんか、厚み（600ページをこす）の割に食い足りなかったなぁ。

地震や海底火山の話題から国家的陰謀へ展開が壮大でありながら、一方では主人公の人間関係や心情も綿密に描かれていて多いに楽しめた。地震関係の話も興味深く読んだ。登場人物も多いし、終盤で話が二転三転しますが、私はそれほど混乱せずに一気に読み切りました。

やっぱり真保 裕一は長編小説に限る。圧倒されるほどのディテールとリアリティに満足するばかりだ。小役人シリーズといわれ、主人公は決して社会的地位の高くない男であるが、その行動力、正義感（ただ単純にそうとは言えないものが、根底にはあるのだが）には驚かされる。また、毎回何かしらの人間模様がこめられているのも興味深い。最後はどんでん返しの連続で目が離せなくなるはず。
