主人公「薬師寺涼子」は、超美人で、スタイル抜群！お金持ちなキャリア組警視庁刑事部警視。いわゆる超エリート。
しかし、口は悪いは、性格も悪い。彼女が歩くところに事件が起こる。
（いや、起こらざるをえない)
　ついたあだ名が「ドラよけお涼」。
　彼女のもとで部下キャラ泉田君（ノンキャリア）は、働く、働く・・・。　どんどん肩書きが増えていって奴隷のような扱いでも、必死に働く姿はちょっと感動モノ。
　田中芳樹の軽快なタッチでショッキングなはずの事件がちょっぴりコミカルに描かれたシリーズ第一弾「摩天楼」。
　東京湾岸付近で起こる奇怪な事件に「ドラよけお涼」が立ち向かうわけです。
　楽しくて、ワクワクして続編が楽しみになった一冊です。

設定も内容もこれでもかって言う程荒唐無稽なんですが、何故か読むと楽しい！
アドレナリン大放出！（笑）
何度読んでもワクワクドキドキしますョ。
特にそれぞれの登場人物が個性的で愛すべきキャラクターに描きこまれていて良し。
テンポの良いキレのある文体とお涼様の名言の数々がツボに入り溜飲が下がる事請け合い。

続編もあるのでそちらも是非オススメ。
このシリーズは私にとってスカッとしたい時のカンフル剤になってます。

アルスラーン戦記でハマって、創竜伝で現代物を読み、どうも作者が「お涼」を楽しんで書いている雰囲気が対談などから伝わってきたので興味を持って読みました。
有り得ない完璧なキャラクター。傍若無人が許されてしまう勢いなど、田中芳樹独特の爽快感はあるのですが……
なんで「怪奇」にしないといけなかったのか、いまいちわからない。不思議な事が起る事や、怪物の出現について登場人物たちが疑問を抱く様子はほとんどない。読んでるこっちが疑問を抱いてしまう。
なんですんなり「非現実」を受け入れてしまうのか。そのあたりを突き詰めて書いて欲しかった。創竜伝もファンタジーだけど、そういう違和感は感じなかったのでこちらは大変残念。
