同じ十五歳の時に読んだ本。かなりの衝撃を受けた。友だちのパーティ。ドラッグ。恋。入院。家出。 虐め。そして、謎の死。最後に残ったのは、ドラッグに溺れながらも自分の事を冷静にみつめて書いている日記。これがアメリカで起こった本当の事だと言う事に驚きと悲しさをおぼえた。 アリスと同じ年代の人たちに読んでもらいたい一冊。

面白いとも感動したとも言えない、ただ途中、途中に何度も考えさせられる。感想を言った事で綺麗ごとでしか言えない気がする。だから、とにかく一度読んでほしい。読書の嫌いな人でも、読みやすい日記仕立てになってます。

面白い本ではありません、しかし一度読む価値はあるでしょう。
日記で綴られる彼女の短い人生は他人には馬鹿げて見えるかもしれませんが
多くの少年、少女達も気付かぬうちに陥りかねない危険な話です。
薬物の恐ろしさを改めて思い知らされました。

ラストはただ虚しいです。

「こんにちは、私の日記ちゃん」

文章の始めはこんな挨拶で始まる事が多い。
彼女の生活には家族が居て友達が居て、そして日記があった。
日記はアリスにとって、何でもはなせる一番の親友である。
読んでいるうちに、まるで自分がアリスの親友になった様な気分
になっていく。

事の始まりは友達のほんの冗談だった。
コーラに入れられたＬＳＤ、の一粒。

すでに「アリスの親友」であった自分は、
やり場のない激しい怒りを感じずにはいられなかった。

自分から手を出したわけではない。
”簡単に薬物が手に入る危険な社会”が、一人の
何の罪の無い少女を犠牲にしたのだった。

「薬に手を出すのは個人の自由」・・・そんな認識が
広まりつつある現代、忘れてはならない少女の真実の記録。
