具体的な○○法ではなく、「本当に美しい人」への意識や考え方のレッスンでした。
内面の伴わない美人は他人から美人だとは思われないというのも改めて感じました(負け惜しみではなく)。
男の視点から読んでも男性批判も女はこうあれみたいなものも無くスッキリ読めました。と言っても読んでいて深いなぁと感じる哲学的な文章が多々あって女性じゃなくても人間としてとても勉強になります。女性の大変さも少しわかった気がしました。

外見ばかり追っている人に是非読んで欲しい(そういう人に限って読まないのかも)。
でも一番読んで欲しいのは女性はもちろんですけど、むしろ美意識を失っている「おじさん・おばさん」・・・。
大人(の内面)が美しくないとそれを見て育つ次の世代が美しくなる可能性なんてゼロですよ。

齋藤薫さんのコラムが大好きで、前から本を読んでみたいって思ってました。

色んな話を読む度に、そうそう！そうなの！って頷く事ばかり。
色んなエピソードを交えて語られる話はとても楽しく、ためになる事ばかり。
外見を磨いた後は、内面を磨くべきなんだと・・・。

そして彼女の話を素直な気持ちで読めるのは、
彼女自信が自分自身をよくみつめ、反省し努力している姿が浮かぶから。
お化粧をバッチリして、「私はこれだけ美容に気をつかっている！」と
いうのではなく、もっと日常にありふれた誰にでも思い当たる話ばかり。
「ちょっと素敵な先輩」的身近さがあり、友達にも言えない身体的
精神的悩み等も、この本には前向きにさせてくれる力があります。

ちょっとした打ち明け話を聞くように読むと楽しめるかと思います。
お勧めです！

外面を磨くだけじゃ綺麗になれない、美人は内面を磨いてこそ・・・

よくいうコトですが、美容ライターとして抜きん出た存在の彼女の言葉は、全て実際の経験談から由来するもので、非常に説得力がありました。

みんなに愛されたい、といって外見ばかりに気をとられている人は誰からも愛されない。

ただ一人の人に愛されればそれでいい、そう思っている人は結局誰からも愛される。
私は、誰に愛されたいのだろう？

自分を磨く、ということの目的を改めて考えさせられました。
