心臓外科医で宇宙飛行士。そんな雲の上の人が普段何を考えどんな生活をしているのか、興味深く読ませていただきました。この人のエッセイはとても面白かったです。

上巻のあとあっという間に読んでしまいました。宇宙の男達ってかっこいい！。もちろん女性達もかっこいい。いいところで終わっちゃうので是非このあとも読みたいと思います。宇宙にあこがれている皆さんにお勧めです。

宇宙飛行士というのは頭もからだも完璧な人で、らくらく宇宙に飛んで行ったというイメージがありました。本当に雲の上の存在。でも、この本を読むと、向井千秋さんが医師として悩んだこと、宇宙をめざしてとてつもない努力をしたことが、克明にわかります。また、男の意地を持つ向井万起男さんが夫婦のかかわり合いの中でいかに変化したか、赤裸裸かつ楽しく描写されているのが興味深いです。
