しかし暗殺はあえなく失敗。だが、香月を捕えた王は、何故か「君は殺さない」と告げた。

『雄飛の花嫁』と同じ世界で、それよりも少し後の時代になります。翔鳳は『雄飛の花嫁』の巴飛鷹の孫に当たるようです。

愛というにはあまりにも残酷な物語。少なくとも、『雄飛の花嫁』と同じような気分で読むと、終盤で「え…」という気分になります。
香月はひたすら翔鳳の命を狙い、翔鳳は何を考えているのかわからないまま、ひたすらすれ違う二人。誤解が解けたと思ったら、また新たな溝が生じ、二人の距離は近づかないままでした。

ハッピーエンドとはいえないので、どうしてもあと味の悪さが残ります。
あと、細かいところで若干謎も残りました。彼の名前は結局最後までわからなかったし、翔凰出奔の目的も明かされないままでした。

天の階は手元にあるのですがまだ見ておらず、雄飛の花嫁、翔佯の花嫁
を読みました。
作者さんは意外な伏線を貼るのが好きなのか、雄飛の花嫁でもちょっと
余分かな？とおもわれるエピソードを最後に入れていらっしゃいましたが、
今回もまた伏線がありました。
今回は前々作ほど違和感は感じなかったのでまあいいかな？

しかしやはり雄飛の花嫁のように人をぐいぐいとひっぱっていく力はない
かもしれません。終盤の主人公の行動も強引で、もうちょっと説明が
欲しかったです。
他の方も書いていらしゃるとおり短編だともっとよかったかも。（漫画
ではなく小説で。）

物語は読みやすいし、雰囲気もいいので次回作に期待します。
面白い事には面白いのですよ、ただちょっと惜しい所がちらほらあって
残念です。

目に見えて大きな変化や読み手をぐんぐん引き込んでいく効果を
予想して望むと確かに違和感を覚えましょうがこれはこれでよい
と思います。「動」を望まず「静」だと考えたらよいのではない
でしょうか。スケールの大きさや個性的な登場人物や奇想天外さ
ばかりが物語の魅力とは限りません。私は先入観なしで静かな気分
のときに読み終えたのでフシギな感覚が残りました。作中のいくつ
かの言葉がすごく心に染み入ったのを覚えています。精神的に感慨
深い作品でした。
