　権威があるとされている「ミシュラン」の星つきレストランを徹底的に批判するという企画が面白い。著者は自らの好みを中心に据えて非常にはっきりとした評価をレストランに与えており、この企画にピッタリはまっている。またこの本はレストランへの配慮を感じないという点で他のガイド本と一線を画している。
　一方で、著者の好みを理解していない人がガイドとしてそのまま参考にしてしまうと、レストラン選びまたレストランのいろんな楽しみ方を制限してしまうものになりかねない。
　昔同じように罵詈雑言を浴びせていた「恨ミシュラン」があったが、読み物として非常に楽しい本だった。この楽しさは下品な舌の持ち主という役回りの西原理恵子が漫画で毒づくというスタイルによるものが大きかったように思う。悪口も余韻が残らなかった。
　こちらガチミシュランは決して楽しい本ではない。意図的なのだろうが、この著者の悪口は明るさがなく執拗で、嫌な余韻が残る。

　評価基準を明示してるし、読む限り指摘はかなりポイントを突いていると思う。初めてミシュラン日本版が出た時、巷でウンチクたれまくっていた諸兄に読ませてあげたい。
　要はこういう「厳しい批評」があって、どの店も頑張って鍛えられるのだということ。提灯記事に「目利き」のできる人や、たまには高い金払っても「自分で食べてみよう」という人がいくらかでも増えればいい。社用族が弛ませた店を、いくらかでも引き戻す役割をこの人ができればそれでいいんじゃないかと思います。

少々偏っていると思うけど、いい・悪いをハッキリ書いているとは思う。
ただし、文章には独特のあくの強さがあってさわやかではない。
