人生はゲージツ…なんて言ってるクマさんが、こういう本を書いていらっしゃるとは全く知りませんでした。
イメージは温かい人ですが、単に器用な芸術家という印象しか私は持っていませんでした。
これは、友達にすすめられて図書館で借りて読んだ本です。
たった今読み終えて、どこが良かった、何が良かったと一言で言い表すことができません。
ただ、つーっと涙が頬を伝わりました。
図書館の児童書コーナーにあった本ですが、思い出の引き出しにしまっているはずのいろんなことを
忘れて日々の暮らしに追われている大人の人たちにも読んでいただきたい一冊だと思いました。

この本を紹介してくれたＣちゃん、ありがとう！

クマさん（篠原勝之）には知る人ぞ知る名作エッセイ「人生はデーヤモンド」や力作絵本「鉄のおもいで」など多数の著書があるが、何故今、児童文学？と興味があった。読後、「なるほどなぁ・・・」彼に児童書を、と眼を着けた出版社を偉いと思った。プロの書き手では放てない匂いと、書き手の生き方から、ついうっかりこぼれてしまった旨みのような世界観が実にいい。大人や動物や物を観る眼を通して、１１〜１２歳の少年の感受性が見事に描かれている。「永遠の少年」という形容は陳腐だけれど、大人たちがとっくの昔に失くしてしまったものを、全力で子どもたちにぶつける作者の心意気に強く胸を打たれた。
