ドクターヘリの操縦者の槇村の個人的な話です。社会性や環境問題の一部におもきをおいた物語設定ですが、ハッキリいってつまらない。ドクターヘリに関する描写、自衛隊に関する無駄な表現が多すぎる。もっと完結にわかりやすくつくってほしかった。あとは人間の感情が全然読み取ることが出来ない。それでおいて無駄な情報の詳細が事細かで、全然ミステリーを読んでいる気がしなかったですよ。これが何故、江戸川乱歩賞なのかがわからないまま読み終えてしまいました。これを読む何日か前に文庫で薬丸　岳さんの「天使のナイフ」を読んだのですが、勝敗一目両全です。

第54回江戸川乱歩賞受賞作ということで、
期待しすぎると、ちょっとがっかりするかも。
でも、そういうの関係なく、ひとつの作品として読めば、
それなりに面白いと思います。
ドクターヘリや自衛隊に関しては、
とても知識が豊富なのだなぁと。
ただ、知床の自然環境保護問題は、少し無理がありすぎると言うか・・・
描写がとても細やかなので、情景が目に浮かんできて、
結構引き込まれました。
まあ、読んで損したとは思わない一冊でした。

物語の展開や人物に無理がありますが、面白かったです。映画になりそうなストーリーでした。西村寿行の初期作品に通じる作品です。買って損は無いでしょう。
