大図鑑のタイトル通りボリュームのある本です。
木材について、加工について、作り手インタビューなど
まんべんなく触れられており、カラー図版も豊富で見応えもあります。

惜しまれつつ廃刊となった「手づくり木工事典」の
デラックス版という印象を受けました。

個人的には、
現役の作家さんたちが自分の作品のつくり方を
写真付きで公開していく章が面白かったです。

これから木工の事を知っていきたいという方には
この本の情報から、木工の知識を広げていく事が出来る
十分な内容と感じました。

価格が少し高いのが難です。

Taunton　Expressの　The Complete Illustrated シリーズに比較すると、期待はずれ。
