エッセイも豊富で、ケンタロウさんの料理や暮らしぶりに対する考え方が、よく伝わってきます。おしゃれな「ふたり」の関係になるためのヒントが、この本にはたくさん詰まっています。

2人分の分量で記載されているのも、一人暮らしの人にとってはかなり重宝ですし（往々にして、料理本は4人分で書かれているものが多いので）、普段の食事と、パーティー用と、気分を変えたいときのメニューと、デザートと。
あらゆるシーンで参考になる本だと思います。

写真もきれいだし、盛り付けや器使いにも注目してみてください。

写真を見ているだけで、よだれが出そうです。
鶏つくねのおいしそうな照り、クラシックチョコケーキのてっぺんにかけたクリームがトロリと流れて落ちているところ、キッシュのパイ皮のサクサク感……。う~ん、すぐにでも食べた~い！

あと、わたしの大好きなケンタロウさんのエッセイがたくさん載っているのもいいです。料理の写真を見て、エッセイを読むと、なんかすっごくシアワセな気分になります。

いまでは、寝る前に眺めて、毎日なごんでます。

　全部2人分のレシピなので、夫と私という2人構成の我が家にはとっても向いてます（4人用レシピを分割して考えるのはめんどくさい！）。
　しかもおしゃれなレシピばっかり。かんたん、おいしい、見栄えがする。
男と若者には喜ばれる。

　ただ、男好きするメニューばかりとあって全体的に「濃い」です。ほぼ全レシピに、ショウガ・にんにく・ごま油・生クリームなどが乱用されてます。
　最初はこの本ばかり使ってましたが、油もの濃い系大好きなわたしでさえ、連日だと胃疲れ気味。たまに使うと同居人に大感激されるかもね。
