著者である佐藤初女さんは敬虔なキリスト教の信者なのですが、
そんなこと全然関係なく、するっと心に入ってくる
名著です。
あちらこちらの本、雑誌に書かれたものをまとめられたものらしく、
一ページに一文章、という感じですが、
それもまた、よし。

特にお料理、ご飯に関する記述がすばらしく
「化学調味料はだめ！」とか「添加物怖いぞ！」とか

言われるよりも、この本を一冊読んだら
コンビニのお弁当、食べられなくなります（たぶん）。

お料理だけでなく、考え方、人との接し方など、
さすが「ガイア・シンフォニー」にも出演された方。

本当に温かく、どこか日野原重明先生と通ずるような
ものを感じます。

本当におすすめです。

佐藤初女（はつめ）さんは、青森の『森のイスキア』という場所で訪れる人々を暖かく迎え入れ、食事を提供しています。かつて佐藤さんにお世話になったボランティアの人々の支援で成り立っています。
この本は、この初女さんの過去に語ったいろいろな言葉を短く抜粋し、提供するものです。抜粋された言葉について佐藤さんが解説を書き下ろしています。

「ふだんの生活の中にこそ、天国はあると思っています。
　また、苦しみの中にあってこそ
　幸せを実感できるというのも、また真実です。」
この人が言うから、重みが出る言葉です。
おいしいおにぎりの作り方の解説などもあり、おいしい＆ありがたい、の一冊となっています。

一つ一つの言葉が心に響いてきます。優しい気持ちになれます。あせっているとき、とげとげした気持ちの時、大切なことに気がつかせてくれるそんな言葉がたくさん詰まった本です。
