私も著者と同じ業界人です。
但し男性です。
「主婦が考案した」とのサブタイトルに引かれて読みました。
さすがは女性建築家だと感じます。
どちらかというと男性の場合、構造に固執したり大きな仕掛けを好む傾向にあります。
著者の智慧のような小さな（悪い意味ではありません）所までは気配りができていないと思います。

女性ならではの家づくりへのコダワリ・・・勉強になりました。
施主の奥様が読まれるのが一番良いと思いますが、私は敢えて男性同業者に読んでいただきたく思いました。

我が家を今回建てたときに、女房も私も一番読んだのがこの本でした。家は施主のもの、住んでいく家族のもの、だから家事をしていく視点（それを女性の視点というふうに限定することはないと思うが・・・）で設計のアイディアを沢山集めてあるこの本はとても説得力をもっていますね。装丁は簡易なものですが中身はどうして、とても充実しています。

さて我が家では著者の勧めに従って郵便受けは玄関ドア横の壁に埋め込んでドアを開けずに新聞を取れるようにしたんですが、さてはじめての冬をこれから迎えて、どうでしょう（笑）？楽しみです。

なるほど〜と思うものばかりなのですが、何しろ初版が10余年も前のものなのでちょっと時代を感じます。その大半は既にどこのハウスメーカーでも提案されているものです。それを理解した上で購入するのであれば良いのではないでしょうか。10年前に読んでいたら目から鱗だったに違いありません。
