4.0 out of 5 stars 殺人か？それとも殺人劇か？, 2007/5/13
“ある閉ざされた雪の山荘で”というタイトルから、よくあるミステリ小説の「外部から孤立した場所で逃げようにも逃げられない」という設定を連想する方もおられるだろう。しかし、本書の設定はそういったよくある設定とは異なる。この辺に著者の創意工夫が見られる。
しかし、本書の見所はなんといっても、ラストの種明かし場面になるまで「実際の殺人なのか？」はたまた「殺人を題材にした劇を演じているだけなのか？」ということが分からぬまま、物語進むところであろう。ラストに至るまでの物語の進め方は、「さすが東野圭吾！」といったところである。
ただ、個人的には種明かしをするラストが、あまりしっくりこない。どこか現実味が薄いというか…サプライズなラストを目指すあまり、不自然になってしまっているように感じる。まぁ、ラストの不自然さを差し引いても、十分に楽しめる作品ではあるのだが…。

タイトルからいかにもアイデア勝負のシチュエーションものといった印象を受けるがこれがなかなかの秀作で、個人的には今まで読んだ東野作品で一番好き。

まずキャラクターが、本格推理仕様に単純化されているようで、読み進むにつれ徐々に微妙な捻りが効いてくるのが心地よい。さらに、終章には単なる犯人当て以上の趣向が凝らされていて、ラストまで行き着いたあとに全体を読み返すと、随所にきっちり嵌め込まれた伏線にまた唸らされる。

最近の東野作品のファンで、本格推理ものはまだなんとなく手に取らずにいる方にもぜひ読んで欲しい一作である。

クリスティの「そして誰もいなくなった」を下敷きにした、クリスティと東野、両氏のファンには堪らない一作。オーディションに合格した若い役者７人が、舞台稽古のために山荘に集められる。もちろん、外部との接触は不可能。そして事件が起こる。

古典的です。またか、って感じもします。しかし設定が、古典ファンの興奮を意図的に煽っているのも確かです。東野さんならではの描写や設定が陳腐な印象を払拭してくれるし、興奮を煽るに足るシカケが用意されていますから、大船に乗ったつもりで読んでみてください。伏線を確認するのに読み返すのも、また楽しかったです。
