この本は小さい。すごく。でもすごくいい。とてもゴッホを大切に思っている人が書いたのではないかしら。変に力まず、でも暖かい愛情をもって、彼の人生と画業を簡略に紹介している。全部読んでしまうのに１時間もかからないが、読後、本当にゴッホがいとおしくなる。自分の内の熱を含んだ感情に振りまわされて、必死で出口を探すような描き方をした彼の作品に、涙が止まらなくなる。薄くて小さな入門書ですが、一篇の短篇小説のようにこころに留まる良質な本。ここから入ることをゼッタイお勧めします。
