今回は検疫室の一Ｇメンが主役。確かにかっこいいのだが、ちょっと中盤辺りから、込み入りすぎて雑になってしまってるのが難点。真相も二重ドンデンがありにはいいけど、そこらも焦点がピンボケしてるような。硬質なハードボイルドです

輸入食品をチェックする食品Gメンが主人公の物語．彼らの仕事が分かるのも面白いし，物語の構成自体も楽しめる．連鎖というタイトルもなるほどと頷ける．ただ，話の3/4程から話が急展開して俄然テンポよくなっていくが，なんとなく結末が読めてしまうのがちょっと残念．

　犯人が見つかるまでに話が二転三転どころか三転四転して読み応えのある作品でしたが、少しストーリーにのめりこめなかったです。

　食品の横流しが本作品の主となって展開されていくのですが、「横流し」と言う言葉にあまりなじみのないせいもあってか、どこか入り込めなかったというか、感情移入ができませんでした。事件が真相に近づくにつれて三転四転する展開も読み応えはあったのですが、少し複雑にしすぎの感も否めません。

　本作品はどちらかというと１０〜２０代といった若年層よりも、もう少し上の世代、３０〜４０代の人がが読むと面白いのではないかと思います。３０〜４０代の人のほうが社会の深みや人生の苦さを知っていると思うからです。
