綾辻さんの「館シリーズ」2本目。
「十角館の殺人」から読んでください。

本書は、描写が綺麗です。
なんか自分がその世界に居るような、そんな錯覚さえ覚えます。
水車のせいでしょうか？

ミステリー度もきちんとあります。
最後は、ビックリすると思います。

「十角館の殺人」で綾辻さんの本を好きになった方は、
この「水車館の殺人」もお勧めです。

私としては「十角館の殺人」や「時計館の殺人」と違って、推理して誰が犯人だろうと楽しむよりも、ちょっと暗い雰囲気を味わい深く読ませる作者の力量を楽しむことができる本でした。　理詰めで明かされる犯人やトリックよりも最後に明らかになる秘密の絵に描かれた（非科学的な）内容の方がインパクトありました。

ミステリに対する愛情と情熱を強く感じさせる館シリーズの二作目。前作の十角館の殺人は
あまりに衝撃的などんでん返しを用意しているものの、そのお粗末な心理描写は頂けない所
が多分にあったが、こちらは古城をおもわせる舞台で登場人物それぞれの意図が強烈に出て
いていかにも古典ミステリって感じで面白い。度肝を抜かれるのは前作ですが、雰囲気を愉
しむ意味で何度でも手に取りたくなるのはコチラです。

トリックも勿論びっくら仰天が用意されてますけど、何よりフィナーレの締めくくり方がと
ても素晴らしいです。何だろう...この人は文章自体はさほど難しくはないんだけど内面から
滲み出る知性の輝きみたいなもんがあって魅了されます。
