私は処女作「全てがFになる」から読んでいるのでこの評価です。

作中世界のリンクが様々なシリーズに貼られているため、最初にこれを見ても
何がなんだか分からないと思います。派手な事件が起こるわけでも
目を張るようなトリックがあるわけでもないので。

ただ、連続して読んでいると、作品間のつながりがドンドン濃くなっていき、
続きを早く読みたいという気分になります。

ハマると怖い一冊ですね。

Xシリーズを間におき、久々に出版されたGシリーズ。
このシリーズ、当初は事件もいまいちで多少盛り上がりに欠ける印象がありましたが、
ここに来て俄然おもしろくなってきたような気がします。
といっても1つ1つの事件、ミステリーとしては、今までどおり、ぱっとしないのですが、
これまであった、どこまでついていけばいいのか？
というような退屈な疑問はかなり解消されて、話の行方が気になりだしました。
森氏の術中にはまって少々くやしいような気もしますが、
とにかく今までの印象が良い意味で、だいぶ変わったのは事実です。

　とても落ち着いた作品だと思います。森作品はすべて読んでいますが、文章が美しい。このシリーズでは、鋭利という言葉は当てはまりませんが、鈍いながらも真理がある様な感じです。
　この一作だけでも、読み応えはあると思いますが、伏線の中の一つに過ぎないのです。これからの続編が楽しみなのですが、その反面怖いという感情もある、そんな複雑さのある感覚です。
　もし、迷っているとしたら、最初にこの作品を読む事はお勧めはしません。出来ればS＆Mシリーズから読む事をお勧めします。
