　まあ新作ということですが、何か芸術家が芸術家について書くとろくなことにならないのでは？と思っていたのですが、これはすごくミステリーの部分が上手く、「人が書けている」、つまりは人物設定が上手く感じてしまいました。
　あの「久しぶりです」のところは伏線？かもとはちらっと思っていましたが不覚にも泣けてきました。創作に対する辻村さんの愛とかが滅茶苦茶そこらじゅうに溢れています。
　辻村さんは綾辻行人さんの著作に救われたとの発言がありましたが、そこからこう来るとは。
　本に救われるっていうのをファンタジー以外でここまで形にできる本作は自分の中ではある種の金字塔です。

なにげない昔話やエピソードが伏線になっていて，
それらが回収されていく終盤は，おみごとのひと言．
さらに，そこからわかる真実にもおどろくばかりです．

確かに，うまくいきすぎで，過剰なところもありますが，
ショッキングな描写や，派手さなどで目を惹くのではなく，
登場人物たちの中で，自然と繋がっていくのが心地よいです．

とはいえ，中盤はややダレたような感じがありましたし，
上巻と同様に，視点や時間の切り替わりが落ち着きません．
ラストがよかったぶん，そこへいたるまでが気になりました．

さて、前巻の伏線が見事に明かされました。伏線とも気づかない様な小さいエピソードまできちんと繋がっているのには感心しました。
出来すぎ感も否めなかったけど、最後は想像していなかった素敵なエピソードも披露され、温かい気持ちになりました。
欲を言うと、もうちょっと特定個人を深く書いて欲しかった。けど、５人もの人物を同時進行ともなるとそうも行かないんですよね。
なにはともかく愛があるお話で、不器用な愛の形がとても愛しく思いました。
