実は前回の「Φは壊れたね」が多少期待はずれだった事もあってそれほど期待しなかったのですが、いや、今回は面白かったです。懐かしいキャラも多数出演でS&M、Vシリーズ両方読んだ人間だけニヤニヤできます。声だけ出演のあの人とか~名前は名乗らなかったけどたぶんあの人とか~、反町愛ちゃんも久々の登場で嬉しかったです。
で、事件。θのマークを体のどこかに描かれた奇妙な自殺死体。しかも描くのに使った塗料は同一の可能性が高い・・・。森博嗣、久々のシリアルキラー物です。じかも自殺者に共通項は見当たらず、状況的には完全な自殺。あぁゾクゾクします。
この事件そのものは作中で解決するのですけどGシリーズ全体に張られた伏線らしきものが見え隠れするので今後の展開にも多いに期待です。しかもキーパーソンとなるであろうあの人の名前まで出てきちゃうし！

この話を読めば、講談社から出てるシリーズ全部時系列順に読みたくなる事請け合いです。森博嗣ファンはぜひどうぞ。

　両者がバランスよく練りあわされた1作、という印象。
　海月君を取り巻く人間関係が興味深いですね。あまりに本人の印象が薄いと、逆に見る側が"どういう目で彼を見ているか"という部分が浮き上がってきます。そのために、彼の近くにいると、"では、自分の方はどんな目で見られているのだろうか？"ということが気になってくる。
　そんな追求する側とされる側の倒錯も、探偵小説（あえてミステリとは言わない）では時に奇妙な魅力となります。考えてみると作者の好きな作家や小説にも、そういうテイストは顕著な気がする。
　事件を解明するのは犀川助教授や海月君なのだけど、物語のオチは、それを関係者がどう受け止めるか、で決まる。"あなた(犯人)"がどうか、ではなく、「それが（私と）関係あるのかどうか？」。それが「Θ」の意味するところかな、とか思いました。

いつも安心して読める森ミステリィ。今回も期待を裏切らない出来でした。トリックは予想道りでしたけど……。
しかし、今までに構築してきた作品世界とのリンクのさせ方は秀逸です。シリーズが完結したとき、何かがわかる、そんな期待を持たせる終わり方でした。今シリーズも全作買うことになりそう。
