イスラム教を題材にしたミステリー。
単純な謎解きではなく、自分自身の精神世界を
漂うような幻想的な雰囲気が漂う小説です。
従来のイスラム教の印象とは違うせいか、
私はむしろ『禅』的なイメージを持ちました。
ぜひお勧めしたい一冊です。

　イスラム世界で起こる殺人という、非常に珍しい題材で書かれたミステリー。
　端正で隙のない文章が読んでいて心地よい。美しいとすら言える。
　イスラム教の信仰や思想に関する部分を読んでいるだけでもかなり面白いが、この作品はそれにとどまらない。

　殺人と、その謎を解いていく過程に、何やら宗教的な「昇華」の感覚があり、読んでいて深い酩酊感を感じさせる。

　面白いです。少しでも興味を引かれたなら読むべきです。

　この作品はイスラム神秘主義の幻想的な雰囲気が全編に満ちています。この雰囲気はイスラム教の知識の羅列だけでなく、幻想的な情景や内面の描写などによって醸し出されていると思います。この作品はミステリ小説としてだけでなく、幻想小説としてもとても面白く読めました。
