　理系ミステリ作家・森博嗣の衝撃のデビュー作。
　文章はやや読みにくかったが、まぁデビュー作という部分を割り引けば合格点。なにより、「F」が衝撃だった。理系学部に在籍していた僕に「なんで気づかんかったんだろ」と思わせ、悔しがらせた時点で作者の完勝。

「孤島」に「天才」のキーワードが来ただけでもう従来のコテコテの推理小説を想像してしまった。大きな間違いだった。

哲学的な要素が多くちりばめられており、シャープな文と相成って全体に何とも知的な雰囲気。孤島の研究所員に大学助教授なんてそうそうたるメンツが居る中でも、主要キャラクタ・真賀田四季博士のもつ空気は彼らの中でも群を抜いている。

ひねくれ者の小生はそれでもなお「ああ、またこの典型的な天才…訳の分からんことをべらべら喋って」「モニタ越しの会話！はん、笑っちまうぜ」と思いながらページを繰っていった。
が。
ラストで見事にひっくり返された。
鮮やかと言うよりほかない。
詳しくいうとネタバレになっちゃうからここらへんで引き上げます。

…にやり。
