起きた現象＝良いこと、あるいは悪いこと　ということではないということが
書かれている。
それは個人の受け止め方にすぎない。だったら変な思い込みや損な考えをやめて
人生をよりよく楽しめる考え方で生きましょうという提案だ。

書いてあることはごく当たり前のことも多いが、なかなか自身を振り返ってみると
できていないことも多い。

またなぜ教育のおいてはある種の強制が必要なのかということも書かれている。

あらためて学者の先生が書いたものを読むことで、気持ちの整理ができます。

アルバートエリスさんが提唱した論理療法をベースにかかれた人生の生き方指南書です。
自分を不幸にしたり、惨めに感じさせる歪んだ考え方（事実に則していない、論理的では
ない、論理を超越して人を幸せに導かない）を、どのように改善していけば良いか、具体的
に説明されています。
私見です
本書でも繰り返し述べられていますが、論理療法は逆洗脳のスキルです。従って、あたらしい
考え方を身につけられないと、本書を読んだ意味はなくなります。１日３回新しい文章記述を
１０年間復唱する、などとさらりと書いてありますが、結局この本の教えを日々活用し続ける
事が最大の肝です。
紹介されている「良い」考え方を繰り返し習得する事。自分の歪んだ考え方を発見する事。
この２つの実践を強くオススメします。

　この本が論理療法のあり方を実践的に説いたものであることは間違いない。だが、ではなぜそれが「自己発見」なのか？自分を束縛するビリーフを検討すること＝自己の省察だからである。その省察を通して、みずから不幸を招いているかもしれない自分を見出すことが大切なのだ。おろかな人間は、考えが足りない。つまり、不幸の因果を断ち切るべく、自分を省みることをしない、と著者は言う。（誤った人間とは、正しく認識することをしない者のことだとプラトンも言った。そして、汝自身をしれ、と師のソクラテスは神託を受けたではないか。すなわち、自己を発見せよと！）

　著者は繰り返し、今の世の中では頭を使わないと幸福にはなれないと述べている。いかにしてクレバーな人生を送ればよいのか。その問いに対する具体的なアドバイスに満ちた書といえる。
