今4歳になる娘が小学3年生くらいになったら是非読んでほしいし、読んでやりたい。
内容は、小3くらいで十分理解が出来ると思います。漢字にはすべて振り仮名があります。
人のことを思いやることが難しいと言われている今。
そんな子供たちを育てることに不安を持っている親御さんにも是非お勧めの1冊です。
ユニセフのことは知っていましたが、今までは他人事でした。
この本を読んで、世界のこと、自分の周りのこと、子どもたちのこと、考え直すきっかけになりました。
「出会えてよかった」

戦争は悲惨なものだ　漠然とそう思っていたけど
ここまでとは・・・この本を読んで思い知らされました。
自分は無知だったな、　知らないって恥ずかしいことだなと
思いました。
世界のあちこちで、子供たちが苦しんでいる。
地雷や爆弾も　子供たちをねらって
かわいいぬいぐるみや　おもちゃの形をしたものが
あると　知ったとき、なんて　卑劣なんだろう
と、憤りました。

世界の現実を知るために
是非、子供たちに読んでほしいと思いました。

この本を始めて読んだのは、教師になって最初の年だったように思います。
それから６年。
はやく子供達にも買ってほしかったこの本が廉価版に。
うれしい限りです。

世界の子供達について、
これほどまでにストレートに、分かりやすく書ける黒柳徹子は
伊達じゃない？
