この「八方にらみねこ」は僕の思い出の本で、幼稚園の図書館にあったこの本を何度も両親に読んでもらい、どうしてもまた読みたくて今までずっとこの本を探していたのですが、書店では在庫がなく、もう生産していないと言われ諦めかけていたのですが、アマゾンでたまたま検索してみると在庫が少しあって思わず買いました。送られてきていざ読んでみると、幼い頃と又違った視点で読むことができ、子供時代を思い出させてくれました。子猫の血のにじむような努力にはとても心を打たれました。生涯を通して読んでいける本なのでぜひたくさんの人に読んで欲しいです。

今年、この本を小学3年生向けにブックトークで紹介しました！
ホントにとっても素敵なお話です。
昔話なので、子どもたちもとっつきやすかった模様でした。
読み聞かせにとても向いていますし、ぜひ読んであげて一緒にいろいろとお話すると良いと思います。
ミケのけなげな気持ちやおじいさんおばあさんのお仕事を通して、いろんなことを話せる1冊だと思いますよ。
だって、今時の子は「かいこ」を知らないようですからね（笑）

恩返しもできず、猫の誇りも傷つけられた小さなみけが奮起して、
山ねこさまのもとに修行に。厳しい修行に耐えたみけの変貌ぶりが見事！
しめくくりも粋な快作です。
