　こどものためにいいかな、と思って買ってみました。
　この本の写真や絵は大きいものが多く、レイアウトも大変見やすいと思います。タコとイカなどはセットにされて扱われることが多いですが、「海中を泳ぐイカ」「海底を歩くタコ」と、対照的に見開きでとりあげられているなど、たいへんわかりやすい構成です。こどものための図鑑はいろいろと出ていますが、写真や図がたくさん載ってはいるものの小さいものが多かったりすることがままありますが、これは良い一冊です。まだこどもが小さいので、写真を見せるくらいですが、大人が読んでも読みごたえのある内容で、たいへん勉強になると思います。ちょっとしたトリビアを手に入れたい方にもおすすめの一冊です。

いろんなことに関心を持つようになった息子に図鑑をと、

個別テーマの（動物、植物、魚、恐竜。。。）のものを揃える事も考えましたが、
こどもが圧倒されて、負担に感じるのは嫌だったので、
まずは、総合図鑑にしました。

21世紀こども百科の方も、テーマが多く、悪くないですが、
ニューワイドのほうが写真、テーマ全体に対する説明がわかりやすいためこちらにしました。

息子は、まだ自分で調べることはできないので、他の絵本や、幼児向けの本などからテーマを見つけて、総合図鑑に導いていくようにしています。

自分にとっても知らないこととかたくさんあるので、一緒に楽しめます。　お勧め。

小1の娘のために買いました。初めての図鑑なので、1冊で網羅できる総合図鑑にしました。
「ニューワイドずかん百科」の良いところは、情報量と本の大きさのバランスが良い点だと思います。ページ数が多い物の中には、重くて本棚から取り出すのもひと苦労、という物がありました。ニューワイドなら、子どもでも楽に持てるし、1つの項目が見開き1ページにおさまって、とても分かりやすいです。
今まで、暇な時間には、なんとなくテレビを見ていた娘ですが、最近は、図鑑を読みふけっていることが多いです。大人が読んでも面白いですよ。
