１８巻の発売から３年が経ちましたね。
一体「X」はどうなってるの？と思い調べてみると、
どうやら連載休止になってるとのこと。

休載は社会情勢が原因みたいです。
特に酒鬼薔薇事件の後、首が飛ぶ漫画は連載を続けるには難しい情勢になったようです。
今連載再開すると、当初予定していた描写が出来ないので内容が変わってしまうみたいです。
角川書店は今まで厳しい内容でもよく通してくれた、
角川に責任はないとフォローもしていました。
今すぐに再開は難しいけれども、
どうにか完結させたいという気持ちはあるようです。

この漫画の設定は１９９９年。
それからもう６年も経っているんですね。
どうにか話を完結させて欲しいです。
ほんとうに大好きな漫画なので。

この作品に出会ったのがいつのことだったか真っ黒の表紙に「X」と赤く書かれていて、ジャケット買いしたのが始まりでした。
あるインタビューでCLAMPさんがこの作品の最後を書くことができないとおっしゃっていました。
映画化、アニメ化とされていて、それぞれの終わり方で終わっているのだから、原作のほうもできれば完結してほしいと心から願っています(>д<)

Xの劇場版、アニメ版でそれぞれの神威のラストが描かれファンとしては原作ではどうなるのかが非常に
気になるところ。だが、しかし新刊が出なくなってすでにオリンピック年経過。
そして、現在ではツバサがある為CLAMP作品のクロスオーバー作品はこちらに集約されてしまった印象もある始末。
実際ツバサ東京編で別世界の神威達が描かれていて、ファンとしては嬉しい反面寂しさも感じました。
ツバサじたいも聖伝や東京バビロンにあったダークな部分が描かれ初め面白いのですが、正直ツバサを連載する前にX本編を完結して欲しかったorz
