何か軽い読み物でも、と手にしたこの本を一気に読みきりものすごく感動している自分に驚きました。特に中盤からのマギーの活躍？冒険？と言ったらいいのか、わくわくしました。映画で見てみたい！ストーリーとかは全く違うけれど「マグノリアの花たち」とか「キルトにつずる愛」とかのような女優の演技力の見せ合いが楽しめる映画になるのではないでしょうか。個人的には妹への思いみたいなところが凄くよく描けています。これは女同士にしかわからないと思いますよ。

5.0 out of 5 stars 読んだらきっと元気になれます, 2004/1/2
　全くタイプの違う姉妹が主人公。頭はいいけれど容姿には自信がない（あまりお洒落にはこだわらない）姉ローズと、方や学習障害を持っているがパーフェクトな体躯の持ち主である妹マギー。二人とも自分の生き方に不満を持っているのだが、様々なアクシデント、恋、人との関わりあいで徐々に自分の突き進む道、本当の自分を見つけられる様になっていきます。

　最終的には読者の期待通りのハッピーエンドになるので、読んで全然ストレスになりません。読んでいて情景が映画のようにすぐに浮かんできました（ちなみに実際、映画化されるそうです）。きっと読んだあとには、自分も頑張ろう!と明るい気分になれると思います。

good in bedが秀作だったためにものすごいがっかりしました。
前作のキャニーやジョイを登場させた意味も分からない・・
っていうか、意味が無いような・・
前作と同じ構成、
それなりに優秀なんだけど、養子に自信の無い主人公、
それを取り巻く脇役たち・・
男に騙され、でも結局幸せになる
という話の進み方にもがっかりしました。

進歩ないなぁって感じです。
やっぱり一作目が良かったからって買ったのは大失敗でした。
