話題の宮崎県知事の本が３冊も発売されていたが、最も読みたいと思った本作を購入した。読んでみた率直な感想としては…、合格点以上をあげていいのではないか。
知事選に立候補するまでから、選挙戦、そして知事になってからの日々などが日記形式に書かれている。芸人から知事になった異色な人物だが、中途半端な気持ちではなく、心から宮崎をよくしたいと思っているのだなと感じた。軽く読める本としてオススメ。

『どん底』などを読みました。東さんの日記はサイトで読んでるのでパスしようかと思った一冊ですが、選挙法の決まりで選挙期間中のブログ、サイトの更新ができない間に書かれていたものも掲載されてるので買いました。
軽く読めます。が、内容は東氏と周囲の人々、有権者とのやりとりはずっしりと重いです。でも面白いです。オモかるい本です（笑）
東氏の周囲の面白い人々とのつながりついては『どん底』など過去の本を読んでいたから判りやすかったです。東氏の本は「自分をどげんかせんといかん」と思っている人にお勧めです。東氏には本当、体に気をつけて頑張ってほしいです。

過去の不祥事は、清算されていれば、人からとやかく言われることではない。
【夢をあきらめない】という、東国原英夫（そのまんま東）氏の、【宮崎県をどげんかせんといかん】という思いが、知事という立場を、宮崎県民が選択して与えたのである。
それにしても、本日記を読んで感じることは、分刻みのスケジュールで公務をこなすことにより、宮崎県が、より一層、宣伝されていくことである。今後の活躍を期待する。
こういう知事を持っことになった、県の職員の方々に、ご苦労様と言いたい。

日記が、様々な人たちにとって、「エール」「励まし」「糧」になれば幸いという、著者の考えに同感である。
