「全米が引いた！！」
「引きながら一気にどうぞ」

そんなコピーがふさわしい奇書。
もちろんそれはノーマルな人にとってのことであって、
私にとってはこれほど引き込まれた本は近年無い。
付箋を付けながら読んだら３０ページ以上にわたって我ながら呆れた。

三つの性格を持った本だと思う。
一つには性的な屈折を抱えてすごした少~青年期と精神病を患いながら生きる今を赤裸々につづった「自伝」、
二つにはロリコン業界黎明期を振り返る「暴露本」、
三つには社会風刺と自己批判に満ちた「人生読本」。
どの要素も興味深い。
他の人にはまず書けないであろう。
優れた客観性と表現力を持つ変態というのはそうは居ないだろうから。
それも一時代を担った人物となればなおさらだ。
これは吾妻ひでお氏の『失踪日記』にも通じるものがある。
レモンピープルの執筆陣が実名で登場するあたりも見所。

ナルシーかと思えば自虐的で、ニヒルかと思えば激昂し、理知的かと思えば下品。
相反する要素が入り混じる不思議な文体が面白く、その魅力が健在であることがうれしかった。
『魔界に蠢く聖者たち』も刊行して欲しい。

清廉潔白なド変態。
蛭子神氏こそまさに魔界に蠢く聖者だったのだなぁと思った。

２０年も前になるが、大塚英志が宮崎事件の直後、このようなサブカルチャー状況を作り出した
責任の半分は自分にあると言ったが、ではもう半分は誰を指したかといえばこの人だろう。
８０年代のロリコン・サブカルチャーの中でこの人を知らない人はいまい。
私はといえば、自己弁護めくがただの読者で、二次元でも三次元でも人の描いたもの、撮ったものを
眺めて楽しんでいただけである･･･コミケに行ったこともない。
しかし、私は、この人はその当時からただの「ロリプー（ロリコン産業で食っているプータロー）」では無いと思っていた。
ロリコン漫画編集のカリスマとされながらも、この趣味を外側から眺めて相対化し、いずれはつぶれる、
そのあとが問題だという認識を持っていた人だったと思う。
私は就職し、堅実な仕事に就き、漫画からも三次元からも遠ざかりこの世界のことは耳にしなくなった。
やがて月日は流れ、この本が出版され元・蛭児神氏がどのような人生の軌跡をたどったのか知ることができた。
この人の半生を一言で言えば誠実だと思う。
単に時代の流行と戯れていただけなら、これほど苦しむことは無かっただろう。
そして、大人として一人の女性を愛し、家庭を築くことまでしたのだ。
立派だと思う。
この人は、失礼ながら理工系の落ちこぼれであり、救いを芸術につながるかもしれないものに求めたのだと思う。
私の思い入れかもしれないが同じ落ちこぼれとして、気持ちがよくわかるのである。
それに比べれば、優秀な頭脳を持ちながら人生を遊び半分で捉え、反社会的な行為と戯れたあげく自殺した
Ａは人間のクズだと思う。
この人が少女（幼女）に対する愛を説明したとき、その内容は不器用ではあるが、人生に対する一貫した態度が読み取れた。
人への愛とは何かである。その出発点が間違っていたとしても、この人は自分で結論を見つけたのだ。
