デビュー当時からのファンとしては、もの凄く残念な印象が拭えないでいる。どうしたのだろう、この“上っ面だけの展開”は、と何度も何度も自らに問いかけながらの読了になった。
麻生龍太郎と練の物語は、いまさらくどく言う必要もないだろうし、この２人の関係を「聖なる黒夜」に遡るのもいまさらの気がする。物語を語る上での「奥深さ」の感じられない、「ストーリーをなぞっている」だけのような気がする。
「所轄刑事・麻生龍太郎」が新潮社で、これが角川と言うのも影響しているのか？
２人の「愛」には、上っ面の同情も必要でない。残念ながら、中身のないたいやきになってしまった。

柴田よしきさんのファンですが
今回は少し内容が薄いような気がします。
麻生龍太郎にもっとハラハラドキドキさせられたいです、
再び麻生龍太郎に遭えるのを楽しみにしています。

　ファンなのに発刊を知りませんでした・・。昨日一気読み。
静かに、無理なく真犯人にーー今は刑事ではなく私立探偵だから真実かーー辿り着く麻生龍太郎。どこぞの総理みたいな名前ですがこっちの麻生さんは頼れます。かといってタフガイとは全く違う、人生に迷ってばかりなオジサンですが。そして危うい世界へとうとう足を踏み入れてしまう練を「愛している」んですね・・・。最後の「エピローグ」を読んだ後はほんとに切なくて「一緒に堕ちてやれよ！」と叫びそうになりましたが、それができないのが麻生という男なんですよね。
各話もいろいろどんでん返しがあったりして楽しめますが、麻生と山内練の関係がここでこうなってその後につながっていく（わかりにくくてすいません）大事な作品だと思います。
是非これ以外の二人の物語も読んで欲しいです。
