5.0 out of 5 stars 辛い前半、しかし美しい旋律を予感させる異世界ファンタジー, 2009/2/20
主人公は中学２年生の男の子です。冒頭から、今までの多くの作 品で感じた、女性らしい柔らかく優しい感じとはひと味違うものを感じます。

人気者の少年の屈折した胸の内、兄の事故死をきっかけに壊れていく家族、何とも やりきれない悲しい場面に向かって転げ落ちていくような、たいへん辛い前半です・・・。実は、amazonの紹介はこの本の後半のストーリーです。この部分にたどり着くまでの少年の心の葛藤と悲劇、目覚めた少年が目の前の世界の変わりように驚き、その理由や過去の人々の「思い」を知り、自らの生きる意味を自覚して踏み出すまでがこの本のお話。

過去の「遺産」の中で目覚めた少年が、人間の愚かさと自然の猛威の前に消えて行った「世界」に思いをはせ、愚かだった自分の生き方や、今は亡き人々を 思って涙を流す場面は切ない・・・。そして、その世界で生きていくために、いや、生き直すために、出会った「友」とともに歩み出すのです。

「黄金旋律」という書名ですが、これがどうやら大きな「意味」を持っているようです。前半では主人公の従兄弟の「愛読書」として出てくるだけですが、繰り 返し現れる「旋律」が次第に大きな音楽のうねりとなって物語を紡いでいくという雰囲気です。過去の「伝説」の主人公に、気がついたら自分がなっていて冒険 を繰り広げるという「ナウシカ」のような展開も予感されます。はっきりとは書いてありませんが、多分第２巻はそんな風に、希望に満ちた物語になるのでは？ と期待しますね。
