2.0 out of 5 stars 当たり障りがなくその内忘れる, 2009/7/20
もう少し深く話の合間に、当時の軍思想・社会生活と主役のD機関の対比や確執を挿入して描いているのかと思ったが、意外にさらっとした内容で、普通の少しおしゃれなスパイ娯楽小説という感じ。面白くない事はないが、新鮮さや驚き、意外性もなく読み終えたら即内容を忘れてしまう。1話完結の短編5話なので出張の新幹線の中での暇つぶしや、待ち合わせに早く来すぎた際の時間つぶしにはよいかも。ただその際もあえてこの本を選ぶ理由はない。
来年あたり、もしこの本の話題が何かの機会に出た時には
「あ〜なんか昔そんなスパイの話の小説あったね〜、内容忘れたけど・・・。」と会話しそうな本。

日本にも本当にあったのかと思わせるスパイ小説。
ちょっと近代歴史に興味を持っている人には楽しめる作品なのではないか。
小難しくなく、すぐ読めてしまう。
あまり後味が残らない作品かと。

2009本屋大賞第3位、このミステリーがスゴイ！第2位、第62回日本推理作家協会賞受賞！
これらに惹かれて買ってみましたが、全てが幼稚に見えました。
作者の自虐史観も42という年齢にしては惨い。
トリックもプロットも言葉選びも特段優れているとも思えない。

私が中高生の時読んでいたら、満足していたと思います。
