正常な人間がほとんど出てこないようなそんな小説でした。
僕にしてもちょっと異常。
お父さんもちょっと異常。
異常な人物が見た異常な世界。
切断された体の描写が出てくるけれど
何故だかグロさは感じられないのは、
僕の感覚が常人のそれとは違っていたからだろうか。
明るく死体を探し出していく僕の姿にこちらの神経も麻痺してしまったのかもしれません。

最後のオチが？な部分もありました。
結局事件の真相は？
はっきりさせなかったのが作者の意図かもしれません。
そこがちょっとだけ惜しまれました。

　第十三回の日本ホラー小説大賞・長編賞を受賞した作品であるが、過去の
受賞作と比較すると、かなり毛色が変わった作品ではある。

　一言で言うと、筒井康隆のスプラスティック・コメディー（どたばた喜劇）
を思わせる「どたばたホラー」と言えばよいのだろうか。論理的な怖さというも
のは一切なく、作品の世界観についても一切の説明がない。オチに相当する部分
もない。この点で好き嫌いはかなり分かれると思われる。

　ただ、作品そのものは非常に面白く仕上がっているので、途中で飽きて手放す
ということはまずないだろう。二度と読み返すことはないだろうが、妙に記憶に
残る一冊である。

むしろ楽しくよみました。内容はホラー？なんですか？
あとラストもふーん。って感じで、結構恐怖を期待して読んだだけに。
装丁は作品をよく表していていいですね。まさにこの「絵」の感覚です。
これから読まれるばあいは、食前食後は避けた方がいいとおもいますよ。
