主人公の語り口、(私の好きな)川島作品らしいんですが
ディーテールがいまひとつ、、、でしょうか。
主人公はかっこいいです。
でもちょっと全体的にまとまりに欠けてしまった感があります。

私が川島誠作品を読んだのは３年前――高校生の時だ。
「800」「もういちど走り出そう 」では、沈むような重苦しさと、それを吹き飛ばすような疾走感を味わわせてくれた。
川島誠作品は、とても爽やかで、けっこう苦かったりもする。

この「NR(ノーリターン)」は４年ぶりの長編なわけだが、
現実設定でありながら、近未来のような錯覚に陥らされる。
主人公の記憶の曖昧さを通して世界観まで捉えられない。
その不思議さがおもしろかった。

「セカンド・ショット」や傑作の「８００」と比べるとどうしても質が落ちる気がする。
設定が甘く、心理描写も出来ていない感じ。よく言えばスケールの大きい作品と言えるかもしれないが、大きすぎて荒唐無稽でまとまりが無くなったのではないか。スニーカーズ文庫が好きな人にはいいかも。
