全訳を求める向きにはまったく参考にならないだろう。抄訳といったほうが
いいくらいだ。そして文学的感興がたかいかといわれるとクビを傾げたくなる。どうも要約してみました、この話はこんな感じなのです、はい。という感じだからだ。むしろハイカラで、味わい深いのはどうしても新新訳のほうに

なるだろう。この書は中沢の素晴らしい装丁で出たはずなのに、今回の復刻では陰も形もない。本を量産するのは結構だが、味わいある装丁は完全に消え去りつつあるのが悲しいものだ。
